Hi There, and welcome to Peter's Money Making and Money Saving Website. Last Updated 04/04/2023. (See latest news/blog below)
I have tried since 2010 when I was made redundant from my job of 22 years to find ways of making money from the internet.
At first I just lost money on all sort of scams. However eventually I found a number of legitimate money making websites on the internet, where real money can be made.
Nine years later I decided to share some of these legitimate money making ideas, to try to prevent other people losing thousands of pounds to start with as I have done.

I won 5 pounds this week playing Virgin Bet's free fives game. Just sign up for a free account at Virgin Bet online, then every day after 1pm you can reveal a free premier league footballer each day from Monday to Friday. On Friday they spin a wheel that goes between 10p and 50 pounds, you then get paid between 10p and 50 pounds if your selected players score in the premier league matches at the weekend. The other week I made 10 pounds when an Arsenal player scored twice in one match.
I recently signed up for a free account with copybet online. If you sign up for a free account with copybet and deposit ten pounds into your account and make a ten pound bet at odds of 1.5 or higher you get 40 pounds of free bets. I won around 30 pounds that way. Unfortunately it only allows you to withdraw your winnings once a day! If you try to withdraw your winnings more than once a day it refuses and says "Pending Operations in progress"

I won 8 pounds at betfred yesterday using only the freeplay code for the slot machines that Betfred sends me every month. Just sign up for a free account at betfred.com to get yours. Try using the freeplay code on roulette and selecting red or black for the best chance to make some money.
I stopped selling on Amazon due to the high costs for FBA or fulfillment by Amazon and the constant requests to me from Amazon for Safety Compliance documents for products that I have not sold on Amazon for years. However, I have stepped up on e-bay and now have nearly 200 different items to sell on E-Bay.

I got a code by text from Betfred to give me four pounds of free credit on their slot machines in store. I only won two pounds this time, but a month ago I won 12 pounds using another text code from BetFred. So, it is worth signing up for a betfred card in store!
On Tuesday I got a free caramel custard donut at greggs using the O2 Prority Smartphone App. On Fridays greggs are giving away Free Pizzas or Sausage rolls via the O2 Priority App.

Went to Peterborough in Cambridgeshire Yesterday (03/02/21), by both bus & train. I got the national rail app up on my smartphone and it gave me a low price for my Journey to Peterborough by train. However, I was concerned that my phone would go flat so I entered the same details into the ticket machine, but the ticket machine quoted me a price that was 2 pounds eighty more expensive for the same trip. So I decided to buy the ticket straight from my smartphone and risk the battery running out on my smartphone!
On arrival at Peterborough Train Station my phone was flat. But Fortunately Peterborough Railway Station has a nice large waiting room with seats around the edge. It also has working power sockets, even if they are around 8 foot from the floor. I am over 6 foot tall, but I had to stand on the chairs around the edge to reach the power sockets and was able to re-charge my Smartphone succesfully!
Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping centre was completely closed due to Covid 19.
Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping centre had all the toilets locked, and I could not find anywhere in Peterborough where I could go to the toilet. Fortunately I just about managed to hold myself until I got back home in the evening!
The long distance Peterborough bus stops had been moved from Queensgate Shopping cente where they usually are; to a place nearby next to a pub.

Went to Ipswich on the Train. None of the power sockets on all the trains actually worked (although the driver one one of the trains did apologize for the power sockets not working, due to a fault on the train). Argos would not let me have my item without the collection code and FT number, which was on my dead battery Smartphone. Nowhere in Ipswich would let me charge my smartphone! Argos told me that there was one working power socket at Ipswich station that I could use to get the FT code and collection code (which I had not noticed the first time I was at Ipswich Station); but it would have taken too long to go back to Ipswich Station as the Argos in Ipswich was on a retail park about five miles from the centre of ipswich where the other Argos in Ipswich was!
I Changed my E-Bay account from a Personal Account to a Business Account. My Amazon Account was already a Business/Pro-Seller Account!
I discovered two programs one for Amazon (Sellerboard.com) and One for E-Bay (3dsellers.com) which will do all your accounting for you, in order to keep the tax man happy!

Yesterday (20/01/21) I finally sold the gravity defying Blue Remote Control Car. Fortunately I am able to source a slightly better product which is very similar and comes in several different colours, but I did not tell the buyer that before their purchase. I only managed to get ten pounds for it (However, I am not complaining as anything is better than nothing)
So I sent the gravity defying car to the customer by recorded/Signed For delivery with the Royal Mail.
However, the customer claims they still have not received this item, even though the Royal Mail web site says that it has been received and signed for. For some reason the person that signed for this item is a different person to the buyer and the buyer claims they do not know this other person. I suggested that the item may have been mis-delivered to the neighbour of the buyer. However, the buyer lives on a big farm and has no nearby neighbours.
So I refunded the ten pounds to the buyer. Fortunately Google told me how to block this buyer so they cannot order any more items from me in the Future.
So what is the moral of this true story? I will let You decide!
Today (19/01/21) I went to Newmarket & Stowmarket (Both in Suffolk) on the train. However, none of the power sockets on all the trains actually worked. So, My smartphone and 3 emergency chargers all ran out of Battery before I arrived in Stowmarket.
So I went to Argos in Stowmarket to collect the item that I had reserved and paid for online. However, Argos required my FT code and collection code. I explained to Argos that the item that I wanted was not in stock at my local Argos and I had come to Stowmarket on the train to collect it and my smartphone and all 3 emergency chargers had all ran out of battery; as I use my smartphone for playing music and videos and also for e-bay and amazon. My smartphone has 5G, an 6.5" Full Colour OLED display and has 2 sim cards installed with different phone networks. This uses battery very rapidly. It is a Samsung A42 5G smartphone, which costs £350.00. However, Iphone 12 Mini from Apple is £700.00.
However, Argos said that I should have made sure that my smartphone was fully charged before I left home and I should have printed or made a note of my FT number and collection code! I informed Argos that we are supposed to be saving trees, by using our smartphones instead of printing everything out onto paper first. Argos at first could not find my item, but after I gave them both my e-mail address and my smartphone mobile phone number they found my item that I had prepaid for and let me have it, without me having to go home on the train, charge my phone and them come back again to Stowmarket.
Nowhere in Newmarket or Stowmarket would let me charge my phone due to covid restrictions. ASDA in Stowmarket had power sockets behind the Hand sanitizer but they did not work. Costa also had power sockets but after my experience in Thetford (they called the Police) I thought it best to not try to use them!
Argos then said that I should not order items from them that are not essential. I pointed out to Argos that a vast majority of items that they are selling are not Essentiial anyway.
Yessterday (17/01/21) Linux Mint automatically offered me a new driver for my NVIDIA graphics card and installed it successfully. It also offered me a new driver for my Samsung Laser Printer and it installed it, but it still would not print anything! So I thought I would use my HP Photosmart All-in-One printer instead. However, HP have now installed some kind of protection system on their cartridges so that re-filled cartridges like those sold by PC woirld which are much cheaper than official HP ink cartridges will no longer work. Online it says about disabling this protection; but I still could not work out how to do it. So, back to the expensive official HP printer cartridges i guess!

Today (14/01/21) I visited my local ASDA store. I noticed there was a video game for sale in ASDA that had 4 dummy boxes on display. However, the game did not say how much it cost. So I asked the lady at customer services and she said I cannot get the game for you unless you are going to buy it! I said I am unable to decide if I wish to buy this game, until I know how much it is being sold for! So she rings her ASDA colleage and he/she says they have no stock of this game, have no idea if they will be getting more stock and don't know the selling price! I was not impressed with that answer!
I received a copy of one of the latest dummies series books from Amazon that I bought the other day. I received it yesterday (13/01/21) it is called 'Selling on Amazon For Dummies!". Guess where are got my copy from? No prizes but of course the answer is amazon.co.uk It seems like an excellent book although I have only had time to gloss over it quickly so far.
The other day I was siting outside a shopping centre; as they would not let me sit on the floor in the shopping centre. I said it was very cold siting on the pavement outside the shopping centre; but they still would not let me sit inside it, even though the shopping centre was nearly empty. They removed the seats from the shopping centre some weeks ago.
A tramp/beggar came up to me asking me for money. I did feel very sorry for this chap, however I have no cash now as I pay for everything by credit card/debit card.
I told him I was very sorry, but I have no cash as I pay for everything using contactless now, but he was not very pleased! But that is the truth!!!
Today (13/0121) I noticed that the link on the front page of my website to point to my ebay listings works on some machines/devices but not on others. So, I have amended it to try and correct that problem!
Today (12/01/21) I found some nice new hardback books to resell at a local store! Linux Mint is so much more stable and much faster than Windows 10 so far. However, I am having difficulty getting driver software for my NVidia Graphics Card and My Samsung Colour Laserjet printer, but I am still trying hard to get it to work properly.
Today (11/01/21) I finally got fed-up of all the crashes I was having on firefox while adding/amending Products on E-bay and Amazon via the Windows Operating System.
So today I am trying a version of Linux (Based on an Commercial operating system called Unix) called Linux Mint instead, which seems to be much more stable and much faster than on windows 10 so far. Broadband speed checker gave me a speed of 30MB/s. However, I would only recommend this to very advanced PC Users as installation and dual booting with windows can seriously screw up your PC unless you are an Linux expert!
However, if you are sure that you are a Linux expert you can download a copy of this open source operating system for free from the following link: https://www.linuxmint.com/

Yesterday (09/01/2021) I went to Thetford in Norfolk, which is where Dad's Army was filmed. Unfortunately they would not let me charge my smartphone in Costa in Thetford and called the Police. The Police let me off with a warning! However, I found a very rare Playstation 4 game in Thetford that I wanted, which was out of stock at my local Argos. Sainsbury's in Thetford would not let me charge my Smartphone there either. I got to Thetford by train, but the power sockets on the Train did not work!
I had great difficulty finding Argos in Thetford as it is about five miles away from the Town Centre. Google maps on my smartphone guided me in the direction of Thetford Argos, but it then run out of power and left me stranded. So, I had to go back to the old fashioned way and ask everyone for directions. I would like to thank all the members of the public in Thetford; who were so helpful to me in giving me excellent directions. Eventually I found Argos in Thetford just before closing time!
I was wondering around a local shopping town and low and behold a copy of the last ever edition of Computer Shopper Magazine was on sale. They said their other shop may have some more; but after walking for an hour to the other shop I can say it does not have anymore! However, it sold very quickly some I am afraid I will have to disapoint any more potential purchasers!
I also found a very nice telescope with 8x magnification for sale which I bought and I am now selling on E-Bay for around 20 pounds (See My E-Bay Listings above or telescope only listing below)
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143909056738
I am selling a pocket metal detector on E-Bay. I have sold two so far, but currently it is getting many viewings, but no more sales! go Figure? (click on listing below in blue text)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143465546357
I reduced the price of the gravity defying remote control car to 14.99 as it is getting many viewings, but no sales yet! (See/click on link below in blue text) Note, it does not have many viewings now as I cancelled it and re-listed it only the other day!
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143906064709
I am thinking about launching a website on shopify.com as this would lead to reducing selling fees over Amazon and E-Bay, but it would probably not get much traffic; compared to Amazon and E-Bay, so I am not sure about it!
I won another five pounds the other day on either coral or ladbrokes website playing the ' Adventures beyond Alice in Wonderland Live Spinning Wheel game' on free credit that I had won in their free to play games. So, I recommend that game as it seems to have a better than average chance of winning something!
Talking of Coronavirus; i am selling a top board game called Pandemic. (see my e-bay link below in blue)
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pandemic-2013-Board-Game-2nd-Edition-With-Characters-New-and-Sealed-Age-8/143894329825?epid=2255278704&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item2180c539e1:g:e5gAAOSwcmVf4d7c&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACcBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%252Fn%252BzU5L90Z278x5ickk7d4nremBkvNKtcC0ZwqXDCTGoFOuXeGub2qDIKcYM7zR7P52nsLKrKqP1utnlBdBo9FVERSSwNcMu26jF3HS9bHdzHKBDtQQGMuUcaBux5AevOL3kS3w%252F0KvpDsYk4h2TmcsV4WLnqOu54KhDwgDvf40JHR8ic%252FCfrJytcE09tqBb5QByYc6n5wdTtvV8KrobfnCSUytIO%252FkuK%252BT%252FKkISFA2Bg4kp3mQGGjCOX6Y7ITyeT27JEnltDyuZ1eHlx2pnz37nNRmmm35zFQ%252FIK%252BoyvTQW18nObDRkUDdw7%252B0QGrMLKggWndL%252BGLyaefP5O7dJj565aT%252FkLlRVkUmUc6blSSKZ3pc3pAkJGW2ntfJtjm50sie5kwc80D6onfAkPfbjJBK0STk%252FBt7jIuqKWS7BlcU5Cu10wd1Kgwvv90zWQAtJgmuIHX67GiAc28MK7PdPSRjdBAnn%252BNoZeFGIlp6O6NueWqqRDNsSUfa9Zh0OZzOdikaS5vLMwx171Kd0DHJ7Oa1Az%252FKfh6QUv%252FQciqx7qgYthsH6atM4xBwNMfsCOW1cKTMBJXwYMsP9lbgNqyyTBuAtUymYpAw%252BnZyMt6TnAQ%252F4JDCK2ZD6wCK0Ix8W0HmcWwtirgQNCnJXaKcJWYI5zUJMKpM6gVUC4eavH1OEIoOvoVAlMAXnYp8gCX470RyVlMHVw5hMPLbJ%252F%252BGnuCHNtwVRS1ERu606bUJ%252BKQIR0H0TF1YVuiy%252FKfpIWYo4vopV2I%252BK0wYHgjfR1esIgl1agp5drbIObFcqDdr63zF0w%253D%253D%7Ccksum%3A143894329825411398ba3a2646e2b17fda82aa14b514%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2334524
I would like to recommend a Playstation 5 games console, but even I cannot get one yet! Still the Playstation 4 Pro is still a very good games console!
Today (06/01/21) I would like to recommend some boxes for those of us that are using Amazon's shipping/warehousing services to store and ship our products to our Amazon Customers (or FBA fulfillement by Amazon)
Argos have FBA boxes for sale www.argos.co.uk/product/7656282?clickSR=slp:term:storage%20boxes%20medium:1:567:1
However, I recommend any boxes that are 40cm (18 inches) x 40cm (18 inches) x 40cm (18 inches) as I have found this to be the perfect size for sending items to Amazon. (Not too big and heavy and also offering an impressive 64 Litres of storage space. I have found that these boxes do not usually weigh more than 10 kilos when loaded with goodies for Amazon and can still be easily taken on Public Transport buses or trains!
However, if you only wish to purchase one box there is another company you can try https://www.packsend.co.uk/packing-solutions/boxes-cartons/
Also Note, Subway, B&Q and Tesco often have used; but empty boxes that you can pickup for free. I got a large free box from a local Subway store once! However, it was much too big to use for FBA!
If you want a really good book about Amazon FBA (Amazon Store and ship the products that you are selling for you) please can I plug a book I am selling on the following link www.amazon.co.uk/AMAZON-FBA-Complete-Millionaires-Selling/dp/1530618193/ref=sr_1_114?dchild=1&m=A2XQHDU0KY7M2J&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&qid=1609923821&s=merchant-items&sr=1-114
Note, my version is under used and comes with Amazon Prime Fast Delivery!

Hi, it is now 29/12/20 and I would like to plug the Book "Make Thousands on Amazon in 10 Hours a week" which I am selling on Amazon.
This book is available at the following Amazon UK Link. (Note my version is available with Amazon Prime Fast Delivery) However today (06/01/21) it appears Amazon are moving my version of this book to another warehouse/fulfilment center so it is currently unavailible for purchase, but should be availible again when Amazon have moved it to it's new home!
Note, this book is focused on the USA Market, but the same priniciples apply to the UK, but try Tesco and Argos etc... or online retailers.

Today I was siting at my QuietPC Desktop Computer (Silent) and staring at my Samsung Laserjet C430 Colour laser printer and thinking how expensive the 4 different colour toner cartridges are.
Note, the totaly silent, very powerful Desktop PC Tower I am using now is availble from a speciality PC supplier called quietpc.co.uk Please click the link below in blue to see this item
quietpc.co.uk/sys-a860
However, I did some searching with my friend MR GOOGLE and came upon a website called cartridgesave.co.uk
I have not ordered any toner from them yet, but they seem to offer very good prices.
Today (20/12/20) I remembered about a site called MagicFreebies.co.uk that is a very good site; but which I have not visited lately.
Today I discovered some books about e-bay selling which seem to be very good; from an E-Bay Powerseller called Ann Eckhart. These are avaliable as Both Kindle Books and paperback books from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=ann+eckhart&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
I am selling my copy of the £2500 per week ebay powersellers secrets. It is not in the greatest condition and i have only rated the condition as good, but it is a very rare book by E-Bay Powerseller Amanda O'Brien.
This book is available for purchase at the following Amazon Uk Link https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1409279472?ref=myi_title_dp
Amazon Sell FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Labels (You get 100 sheets of 40 labels each)

Today (Christmas Eve 24/12/20) i went into town to have a last look at the so called non-essential shops; before they sadly have to close again for the big lockdown that entering teir 4 on boxing day (26/12/20) brings.
I discovered a local shop that still had an Harry Potter Universal remote control wand for sale and it was much cheaper than those on sale at both e-bay and Amazon. I had won a free drink at Caffe Nero in their cracker promotion so I had a free strawberry milkshake with cream at Caffe Nero. I got told off by the staff at Caffe Nero, as I got within 2 metres of a lady there. (social distancing)
I spent more today than what I had intended as I was aware that most local shops could be shut for some time, due to us entering tier 4. Tommorow is Christmas day and we are having a big meal at our Local Pub. (Even MR Covid 19 cannot stop us this time!)
W/E 19/12/2020
Coral sent me a free code today as I am a connect card holder, this enabled me to have five pounds of free credit on the slot machines in store. I won twelve pounds from the free spins, but unfortunately I put two pounds back in as I was hoping for a bigger payout. Still a free tenner is not to be sniffed at. They also got me a new connect card and activated it on their system as my old connect card was in a bad way after years of being in my wallet.
I remembered about another money making and money saving website that had slipped my memory before. It is makemoneywithoutajob.com
I have tried since 2010 when I was made redundant from my job of 22 years to find ways of making money from the internet.

Today 16/12/20, I corrected the links in the my recommended technology page, as some of them were pointing to no longer existing product pages! on the internet

We have just finished the second UK Lockdown now, so I decided to do an update to this site (which I had not updated for 6 months) to give you some updates on what has been happening here.
Tombola Arcade - The trio free game has now been suspended. However there is now a new free to play game with large cash prizes upto £10,000 that is based on I'm A Celebrity get me out of here, called Bug Match. Also, there is a free to play Christmas Raffle with prizes such as Iphone 12 Pro mobile phones etc...
Coral are running an Alice in Wonderland themed free game, which enabled me to win 20 pounds earlier this week. It is on the offers section in a free to setup coral online account.
William Hill are running a free bonus-drop promotion; which allowed me to win seven pounds and 24 pence today (03/12/20). It is on the promotions page of the main William Hill site and requires a free to setup William Hill online account.
Virgin Bet Fives - Virgin bet have started a new free to play promotion called fives. They allocate you a player in my case that was Townsend of Crystal Palace. If the chosen player scores goals in the next fixture you get rewarded so much per goal; in my case that is one pound per goal.
Note, you have to created a free virgin bet account and log in and select promotions to get this offer.

BWin have a free daily coin flip game where you can bet on the coin coming up Yellow or Black. I guessed correctly at yellow and won 2 pounds to spend on roulette. Unfortunately I chose red and it came up black, so no win today unfortunately.
I discovered a new matched betting site today (27/05/20) https://www.beatingbetting.co.uk/

It has been a bit quieter recently, due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, I signed up to a free account with the tombola arcade bingo site. This allows you to play a game called trio every day for free. The first couple of weeks I won nothing, but yesterday I won twenty pounds by matching three telescopes.

Also Coral have a free game you can play everyday called rewards grabber, which awards you free spins on their slot machines games. One day I won 2 pounds and 40 pence for free with this game.

SkyVegas has a Prize Machine that you can spin for free each day after 12-noon Greenwich Mean Time. Yesterday (20/05/20) I won 100 free spins on their slot machines. This enabled me to win 10 pounds and 20 pence which I then transferred to my bank account.
888 sport have restarted their free competition where you guess the results of 8 football matches and receive a free bet for each one that you get correct. (It now requires you to deposit money to get the free bets unless you get all eight and win the 8000 pounds jackpot) You can then use matched betting to guarantee yourself a profit from this. Note, they changed to the Belarus and now the German football leagues as the English Premier League has been suspended due to coronavirus.
Note Virgin Bet are offering two 10 pound free sport bets for new customers; when you sign up with them and make a 10 pound sports bet with them. So, I have provided a step by step guide to making a guaranteed profit below:
1) So, I created a free account with Virgin Bet and deposited 10 pounds with my Debit Card today (23/05/20) 2) I set the options on Virgin Bet to Decimal odds rather than fractional odds as It makes matched betting easier that way. 2) I loaded the Oddsmonkey matched betting calculator from the Oddsmonkey website. 3) I selected a German Bundeslliga Match (As English Premier League suspended due to coranavirus.) i.e Freiburg v Weirder Bremen at 14:30 GMT Today) 4) I set the bet type on the calculator to Normal for my qualifying bet, Back Bet = 2.1 (Freiburg to win odds), Back Stake to 10 pounds, Lay odds to 2.2 (I used the Betfair betting exchange to find the odds of Freiburg to not win the match) and set the Lay commission to 5% (Betfair always takes 5% commission for their profit) 5) The odds monkey matched betting calculator said that I could lay 9.77 on betfair (i.e Freiburg to not win) and my liability would be 11.72. So I went onto the BetFair website and deposited 11.72 to cover the possibility of Freiburg Winning the match) This would cause me to make an acceptable loss on the qualifying bet of 72 pence. But this will cause Virgin Bet to then issue me with 2 10 pound free bets which I am guaranteed to profit from. I then placed a bet of 10 pounds on the Virgin Bet website for Freiburg to win at odds of 2.1. Freiburg lost 1-0 so my Virgin Bet back bet lost. However, my lay bet (bet against Freiburg winning) at betfair betting exchange was therefore a winner! 6) Virgin Bet then credited me with the free 10 pound bets. I will also match the free bets to guarantee myself a profit! 7) So I found a match on the german bundesliga today (24/05/20) at 14:30 GMT i.e schalke v Augsburg on Virgin Bet. Augsburg are at odds of 3.7 to win. On the betfair betting exchange the same match but to lay or bet against Augsburg has odds of 4.1 8) Oddsmonkey calculator says that I could lay (bet against Augsburg Winning) at 6.67 pounds, liability on befair is 20.68. (I already have more than this on betfair, so I am ok) My Profit regardless of the result will be 6.32 on my 10 pound free bet. Note, the bet type on the oddsmonkey calculator should be set to FreeBet (SNR), or freebet stake not returned for this free bet. Also commission on the back bet at Betfair should be set to 5% 9) Virgin Bet will then let me use the other free 10 pound bet once this bet has settled and so I can make the same or similiar profit again on the next match I bet on. |
